Polkadot Patch Baby Boutique: Great baby gifts and more

Hope everyone enjoyed Christmas this year! It was a great one here in Vermont. The weather was gorgeous and the day was filled with joy. The kids enjoyed their gifts, Santa was good to all of us, and for a day, the Patch was quiet. That is much appreciated at least for one day!

With 2008 on its way (can you believe it???), it’s time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the year to come. Our past year was filled with a very successful business transition as well as growth. We have met some wonderful new suppliers and have had many customers return for our unique selection of baby clothes. Our mailing list has grown and our testimonials are positive and glowing!

In 2008 we look forward to some charges on our site with some upgrades to make shopping easier. We will bringing in new suppliers who offer only the most unique children’s clothes and baby gifts. We look forward to expanding our selection of handcrafted items and toys.

So stay tuned…I know 2008 will be a great year for Polkadot Patch and for all of us!

It’s Christmas Eve and for those of us who celebrate Christmas and have children, today is a big day! Santa is busy, we are busy making cookies, and there is so much energy and excitement in the air. I love this time of year with children. It’s magical. We’ve personally worked hard this year to teach our children how to be grateful and the deeper meaning of the spirit of giving.

At this time we always appreciate all the shoppers who have made our store successful and perhaps helped Santa along the way! Our Christmas baby onesies were a big hit this year with Santa! Thanks big guy!

Yesterday we introduced two new personalized baby blankets that are so fun. These blankets are so soft and fun that you may have to pry them out of baby’s hand just to wash them. Check them out from Zudi, they are simply adorable. We will also be introducing some more “boyish” versions after the new year.

Speaking of the new year, this fun 2008 shirt from T&T Tees is such a fun way to ring in 2008! This shirt has funky disco ball lettering and is sure to get a party started! It’s even great for a new baby gift celebrating the year they are born.  We offer onesies for the little ones!

I don’t think there is anything more fun for a little girl than this adorable little girls fleece poncho. This funky print is called retro circles and makes me wish I could get one in my size. Talk about letting her fun-loving spirit shine though. This amazing high quality poncho has fun little pom poms along the hemline.

Can’t you just see a little girl flitting and floating about in this hooded poncho? It is one of those items that she will want to wear every day. And…if she’s somewhere cold like here in VT, she can even wear it over her snowsuit! Yes…it IS that cute!

If I could choose a little girls outfit to wear this winter, this would be the one. This little girls snowman skirt set is just too cute for words. I mean, how cute is this on a little girl who loves to twirl around even in the winer. She won’t let the snow stop her…and in fact, she loves everthing snowman. So this outfit will be her favorite this winter! Look how cute this is!

Don’t you love when you are so busy that you can’t stand it? Whether it is running a business or carpooling kids around…it’s always so nice this time of year to slow down and take a breather. While we are busy shipping baby gifts and Christmas presents, I’m finding that I need to make sure to make time for myself. Even though I love the hustle and bustle of the holiday season….it’s also so nice to curl up with a cup of tea and a good book. Hope Santa knows that too! Otherwise, he’ll be heading to the Patch for his favorite holiday gifts for children and babies too!
