Polkadot Patch Baby Boutique: Great baby gifts and more

Here at the Patch we are bringing more and more unique kids gifts and clothes into our store in preparaton for the holidays. We have what seems like endless items to stock in our store and it’s just a matter of getting it all done. Where does the time go??

We have new designer boutique clothes coming in and also a large array of handcrafted products. I have to say that I just can’t get enough of these great products we are finding for our store. There’s nothing more fun than giving a gift that noone else will give…and probably not too many of the child’s peers will receive.

In the next few weeks we will be including a number of new brands, some old favorites, and maybe even a few surprises! Gotta love that!

As Polkadot Patch Boutique, we are proud to annouce we are now shipping to our northern friends in Canada! We just released a press release to tell all Canadian shoppers that we are ready to share and ship our wonderful designer boutique clothes and artisan children’s gifts to them.

 Next…we hope to expand our shipping to other international buyers! Stay tuned…it’s just a matter of time. It’s on our To Do list and we hope to get it crossed off sooner than later!

We are having so much fun lately at the Patch. We have been finding some really unique and fun products…many of which have funky names to match. We have just introduced the very fun brand, Mimi the Sardine, this week which we absolutely LOVE. These fun products have the most colorful and bold prints to match the equally funky company name. We’re still not sure where the “Sardine” came from…but when you produce such amazing products…does the name really matter that much?

So I might just have to get one of these bugs lunch bag because I think they are just the cutest lunch bags I’ve ever seen!

We just absolutely love this gorgeous Waldorf star doll from Wee Warmth & Whimsy. This  doll is stunning in person and is everything a little girl (or boy) loves. It’s super soft, a great, vivid color, and can be customized for skin tone, hair color, and favorite color for the body. With the little tinkle of a bell, the doll sounds as sweet as it is adorable. It’s the kind of doll every child will cherish and one that will be the favorite to sleep with. As an adult, I love this doll….and every child who sees it loves it too. We feel honored to have these dolls and we love the high quality products from this Vermont company!

When it comes to colorful and fun boys clothes, it’s hard to beat Flap Happy. We just love this brand because it believes in almost the same exact philosophy that we believe in for children’s clothes. No matter the style or season, Flap Happy clothing is age appropriate and has designs that children gravitate to. As a retailer who specializes in ONLY colorful and fun clothes, Flap Happy is a must-have for us. These clothes are high quality and a price that is hard to overlook.

Believe it or not…we’re already shopping for fun & funky, unique and colorful spring clothing. It hasn’t even snowed yet here in Vermont and here we’ve been looking at shorts and bathingsuits! It just doesn’t seem right at all.

For the past three days we’ve been meeting with manufacturers to bring some exciting new brands to the Patch. We have found some wonderful new designer baby clothes and we can’t wait until December when some of the styles will actually be arriving. By then we actually WILL have snow … so seeing the bright and colorful spring clothes will be a welcomed relief from all the white I know will be all around us!

So we’re busy ordering, gearing up for the holidays, and meeting lots of great artisans. Life is always busy at the Patch, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

We love these super soft fleece blankets from Wee Warmth & Whimsy. The snazzy, funky, psychedelic wavy blanket is my favorite. These blankets are so great for anyone in a colder climate. The blanket is as thick as can be with a double layered fleece. The artisan who creates these blankets even quilts them as well as fringes the hem for extra fun. The colors POP with excitement and is such a welcomed change from the boring pastel baby blankets found everywhere. We just love these blankets!!

I have to say that we just have the cutest clothes in any online store! Ok…that’s being a bit boastful, but we sure do love when we find such new great products like the Babybeansprouts bay line. This unique Vermont company has such great baby blankets and onesies. So when we saw their hand appliqued onesies featuring great unisex designs, we knew they were a MUST-HAVE at the Patch! And when I saw this funky red dinosaur onesie, I just fell in love. I love the stylized dinosaur and the super soft cotton onesie they use. Now…I can’t wait to give it as a gift for the next special baby to come along!

Oh my. The holidays are almost here. Well…at least that’s what all the stores in my local area want me to think. I know that I have at least a couple months to prepare, but I see holiday decorations out in every store I’ve visited this past week. Talk about the stress. Finding the right gift for my children is always a challenge, but I do try to start early so I have time (and still energy) for finding something special.

Here at the Patch, we’re gearing up for the holiday season too. We will be bringing into our store some fun handcrafted children’s gifts that are so unique that it’ll be hard to find them anywhere!

Since we love handcrafted products, I have to say on my children’s list are these two gifts. This colorful and unique handcrafted teddy bear is perfect for my two year old

and this unbelievable handcrafted polkadot bracelet is perfect for my 5 year old. Who knows what Santa will actually bring…but I might have to write him a note of hints!

We believe in only putting into our store the highest of quality of baby and children’s clothes and gifts. We see a lot of clothing and gifts that look great, but once worn a couple of times, or played with by a real child….don’t hold up. At Polkadot Patch Boutique, we have the highest of standards for all of our products. And if we think it wouldn’t last with any of our 7 children (and hopefully be handed down to more…) then it isn’t worthy of The Patch.

With that being said, we were surprised to get a recall notice on an item from one of our favorite brands. Apparently the item bleeds when washed — enough so that the manufacturer wanted them all back. I have to say while this was disappointing because it’s so, so cute but I am impressed that the manufacturer has the same committment to quality. They could have just let the consumers deal with it, but instead, they were proactive about maintaining the highest of quality.

So…whether we have designer baby clothes or handcrafted children’s gifts, you will only find the most colorful, funky, unique and high quality products at The Patch.

We had a good day today! Finally it stopped raining here in Vermont and the sunshine was beautiful for a crisp autumn day. And…we had some good sales as well. It’s so exciting when we see we have received an order. It’s always so fun to see where the order is from and where it originated. Today we had customers from all over the U.S. as well as a Vermont customer which of course is near and dear to our heart!

Yesterday we discovered a LOT of new and exciting clothing manufacturers. We can’t wait to order some of these clothes and get them into the store. There was so much color to be found…especially for boys clothing. What a refreshing change this is!

Tomorrow will be another good day too. I just can feel it!
