Polkadot Patch Baby Boutique: Great baby gifts and more

Polkadot Patch Boutique is the vision of two moms who love children, shopping, and being online! With seven children between us, we know children’s clothes. When Marianne’s first child was born, she didn’t know the sex of the baby and searched high and low for gender neutral clothing that was beyond pastel yellow and green. She wanted bright reds, oranges, blues, greens, pinks, purples, and more. It was so very hard to find clothes that didn’t begin to stereotype her baby immediately. It was frustrating finding these clothes and after her daughter was born, much to Marianne’s chagrin, the closet became full of pink, princesses, frilly clothing (thanks to gifts and Marianne’s lack of time to shop!), and the colorful bright clothes remained a challenge to find.

Co-owner Erica, was facing similiar challenges with children’s clothes. The deciding factor with her was the lack of fun, unique boys clothing for her first boy after numerous girls! While she had more success finding colorful and fun girl’s clothing, she was dismayed at the images and appearance of little boy’s clothing. She found mostly superhereos, military themes, or just-like-daddy clothes…where were the cute, fun boys clothes?

So…these two moms knew they had to open a store to sell the kinds of children’s clothes that they wanted. After searching high and low, they have selected on the most colorful, fun, funky, and childlike children’s clothing to feature on Polkadot Patch Boutique.

In addition, being in Vermont and having a passion for art, both Marianne and Erica wanted to support, promote, and sell Vermont made children’s products. So, in their store you will find what they hope to be the largest selection of VT children’s products online–but only those that are fun, colorful, and represent the “spirit of childhood“!
